*NBA Best Bet Loser(-1.5u): Nets ML(+113) @ Bucks

--Right after the Bucks took down the Nets in a hard-fought 3 point victory on Sunday afternoon, I was already looking to bet the Nets tonight. Backing the team that loses the first game of a doubleheader in the second game has been profitable in the NBA this year, but unfortunately for us, the Bucks found a way to win tonight. This game was back-and-forth most of the way, with the Nets holding a 1 point lead entering the 4th quarter. The Bucks simply outplayed Brooklyn in the 4th quarter and mozied their way to a 6 point win. I don’t regret making this play because I think the Bucks are an overvalued team and the Nets are playing pretty well without James Harden. It didn’t work out, but I wouldn’t call this a total misread. I guess we’ll see who really is the better team come the playoffs this summer.

*MLB Loser(-1.05u): Mariners F5 -0.5(-105) vs Orioles

--It appeared that we had this one in the bag needing just 1 more scoreless inning from Justin Dunn in the top of the 5th. Unfortunately, Rui Ruiz hit a solo shot to tie this game up at 1, and the Mariners left 2 runners stranded in the bottom half to give us the loss. Dunn’s control was a little shaky tonight, but he did his part by surrendering a lone run through 5 innings. I was disappointed to see the Mariners only scratch across 1 against a career 6.00+ ERA guy because I really like some of the young bats in the Seattle order. The numbers had this play at tremendous value, but it didn’t come through for me. Baseball has been a struggle out of the gates(unlike last season), and it’s probably going to be better for me to pick my spots wisely going forward until I get a better sense of who teams truly are. Disappointed to not get this one.
