--What an absolute rollercoaster. This one looked all but over with the Nuggets holding a 15 point lead at the intermission. Out of nowhere, the Nets came steaming back in the 2nd Half and eventually won by 6. Coming into this game on a 4 game losing streak, it was clear the Nets were going to go full throttle tonight against a tired Nuggets team; Kevin Durant played 40 minutes and Kyrie Irving played 39. They might’ve thrown in the towel in a similar situation if they weren’t in such a slump, but there was no way Brooklyn was going down without a fight tonight. While the Nets deserve all the credit for tonight’s comeback, the Nuggets deserve equal blame for choking this game away. They scored just 15 points in the 4Q, and Nikola Jokic struggled in the final minutes of this game. It’s likely that Denver’s legs were a little tired after playing Utah on the road last night, and this team was bound to come down to Earth considering how many backcourt pieces are still out. This was not a traditional cover, but I will most certainly take it. Best Bets are now 4-2, +2.8u in the month of May!
